P.J. Colt was an American singer and songwriter active around 1970. His only album, P.J. Colt, was released in 1970 on the Polydor label. The record is a notable example of swamp rock, blending blues, rock, and Southern country influences. Recorded in both New York and Boston, it reflects the gritty, organic sound of the early ’70s American scene.
The album features a mix of original compositions and covers, supported by seasoned musicians and high-quality production. Although it went largely unnoticed at the time and remains his sole major release, P.J. Colt has gained cult status among collectors and fans of early roots rock.
