Mother Station is the band where a new female singer exploded litteraly. Susan Marshall is an American folk rock, pop and soul vocalist, pianist, songwriter and recording artist. She is best known for her work with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lenny Kravitz, The Afghan Whigs, Primal Scream, North Mississippi Allstars, Lucinda Williams, Ana Popović and Katharine McPhee. Awesome in every way. This has to be one of the most under rated band off all time.

The band Capability Brown was a six-piece in which everyone sang and played instruments.   The lineup consisted of Tony Ferguson (guitar, bass), Dave Nevin (keyboards, guitar, bass), Kenny Rowe (bass, percussion), Grahame White (guitar, bass), Joe Williams (percussion) and Roger Willis (drums, keyboards).

Seatrain is the second album by the band Seatrain, recorded in 1970 and adding Peter Rowan on guitar and lead vocals. It was the first record produced by George Martin after his work with The Beatles what is a guarantee of quality sound. The most successful song on this album is "13 Questions", which reached #49 in the Billboard charts.

Forever More are one of the great neglected treasures of the 70s. The core of the band went on to fame as the - Onnie Mair is Onnie Maclntyre of AWB, and the horns went with him and Alan. Mick Travis was briefly in Glencoe, split before they recorded, and has not been heard from since.

U.S. Apple Corps - U.S. Apple Corps (1970)

The music presented here is solid, Christian based blues rock. It does flirt with psychedelia and even almost approaches acid rock. U.S. Apple Corps almost sound like an American version of Ten Years After, albeit more generic and Christian. The organ flourishes really help with this music, it makes it much more interesting than it should be. The guitar is more than decent. The choir is naturally gospel. The problem with this band is it is too damn preachy.

La musique présentée ici est solide, basée sur le blues rock. Elle flirte avec le psychédélisme et s'approche même presque du rock acide. Le Apple Corps US ressemble presque à une version américaine de Ten Years After, quoique plus générique et chrétienne. L'orgue s'épanouit vraiment avec cette musique, cela la rend beaucoup plus intéressante qu'elle ne pourrait être. La guitare est plus que décente. Le choeur est naturellement gospel. Le problème avec ce groupe est qu'il est trop sacrément prêchi-prêcha.

Electric Toilet - In The Hands Of Karma (1970)

When you first hear the name Electric Toilet your brain will, almost certainly, fire up a proper bell-ringing, shark-jumping alert. After all, by 1970, when this Tupelo band's album was released on the Nasco Revelations label, the hippie revolution's heavy lifting was done and giving yourself such a strikingly silly name could only add to the idea you were some newbie, face-painted arriviste. However, In The Hands Of Karma is, in fact, a fantastic record, as one listen to the album opener Within Your State Of Mind will confirm.

This short-lived band was a collaboration between two songwriters, Wayne Berry and George Clinton who each had distinctive and largely divergent musical interests, with Clinton being (roughly) more of a rocker, and Berry being more on the country/rural/acoustic side of the tracks. They recorded two albums as Timber, followed by a couple of solo albums, and briefly reunited as "Volunteers" for one album in 1976.

Country Weather is an American psychedelic rock band that were closely associated with the San Francisco music scene of the late 1960s. Originally named The Virtues, the band was formed in the San Francisco suburb of Walnut Creek, California, by high school students Dave Carter (vocals, bass),Denny Rogan (lead guitar) and Steve Derr (vocals, rhythm guitar) in 1966. It's the only official recorded Country Weather album.

Rust Underground - Come With Me (1969)

Three Australians come 1969 to Germany and made an LP. Great, psychedelic rock tunes are embellished with phased vocals, treated piano, samples of radio broadcasts, washes of organ, and electronic effects.  In fact, Rust Underground appeared as a beat group, but theirs was a rocky psychedelic rock  with some traces of Pretty Things and the Wildest Troggs. 

Trois australiens viennent en 1969 en Allemagne et font un LP. De grands airs de rock psychédélique sont agrémentés de chants phasés, de piano traité, d'échantillons d'émissions radiophoniques, de lavages d'orgues et d'effets électroniques. En fait, Rust Underground est apparu comme un groupe de beat rock, mais  leur rock était résolument psychédélique, avec quelques traces de Pretty Things et de The Troggs.

Satisfaction - Three Ages Of Man (1971)

A six-piece band with a three-man horn section, Satisfaction walked a fine line between jazz fusion, progressive rock, folk-rock, blues rock, and the brassy stylings of Chicago and Blood, Sweat & Tears, and all of these elements dance around one another on Three Ages of Man, the group's long-lost second album, recorded in 1971 and 1972 but not released until it was discovered by Richard Searle of Acid Jazz Records in 2014. Brilliant.

My Sleeping Karma - Moksha (2015)

My Sleeping Karma continues imperturbably his long journey in the steps mixed with the Floyd, between soaring lyrical and riffs as front, as effective as immediate. As usual, between 2 completely controlled space crossings, more acoustic interludes that respond musically to the beautiful artwork of the album, come to slip, just to calmly resume his breath before plunging head first in a new roller coaster sensations as hypnotizing as heavy and determined.

My Sleeping Karma endormi poursuit son long voyage dans les traces du Floyd, entre envolées quasi lyriques et riffs comme du front, aussi efficaces qu'immédiats. Comme à leur habitude, entre deux traversées spatiales totalement sous contrôle, des interludes plus acoustiques et qui répondent musicalement à l'oeuvre superbe de l'album, se sont glissés, histoire de reprendre sereinement son souffle avant de plonger tête la première dans une nouvelle montagne russe de sensations aussi hypnotisantes que lourdes et déterminées.

Gomez - Split The Difference (2004)

Back with their fourth album, Gomez has created another masterpiece of texture and sound.The biggest criticism of Gomez has been about how inaccessible they are. Many of their best tracks reach into the 5-7 minute range and don't have as much hook as many of today's more popular rock. While long meandering tracks had their heyday in the 70's, today most of the songs being played now tend to be short and simple. Some of the problem is that Gomez is hard to categorize. They aren't punk (of any era), but they also aren't hard rock.  The only way to truly categorize them is to say they're good.

De retour avec leur quatrième album, Gomez a créé un autre chef-d'œuvre de texture et de son. La plus grande critique de Gomez a été à propos de leur inaccessibilité. Beaucoup de leurs meilleurs morceaux atteignent la gamme 5-7 minutes et n'ont pas autant de crochet que beaucoup de rock plus populaire d'aujourd'hui. Free the Bees seems to have been recorded thirty-five years ago in the back of a crazy laboratory, in a heavy and ecstatic wetness, with Sky Saxon Seeds in the studio, The Chocolate Watchband slumped on the couch and drugs for everyone. Paul Butler and Aaron Fletcher this time moved to Abbey Road Studios, and took the opportunity to offer a formation that is more like a plump and lush orchestra than their former band. Responsible, two years ago, for the already nifty Sunshine Hit Me. Become a true psychedelic fanfare, The Bees feast on the nectar everywhere: pop melodies, reggae rhythms and languid soul compose the sumptuous jumble of this prodigious second album, erected on cascades Hammond organs, boiling brass and warm choruses. All in all, delicious little bee stings.
