Colonel Bagshot - Oh! What A Lovely War (1971)

Colonel Bagshot - were English rock band formed in late '60s in Liverpool, England. Originally called 'Colonel Bagshot's Incredible Bucket Band" were initially 6-piece, eventually becoming a four-piece. Last line-up included Brian Farrell (vocals, guitar, stylophone), Ken Parry (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Dave Dover (vocals, bass, keyboard), Terry McCusker (vocals, drums). The band released several singles and one album ("Oh What a Lovely War") in 1971 which included their best known song, "Six Day War".

Smack - Smack (1968)

Smack was formed by 4 students from Longview, Washington on a summer scholarship for music and arts at the University of Kansas, Lawrence. Within' a few weeks of their inception, the were playing gigs around campus. Someone from the University arranged for them to cut an album. They recorded it live on a 4 track, (except vocals) in late July, early August 1968, and played all covers form the likes of Cream, Hendrix, The Kinks, and others.

Quelques semaines après leur création, ils jouaient sur le campus. Quelqu'un de l'université a arrangé pour eux de produire un album. Art - Supernatural Fairy Tales (1967)

Supernatural Fairy Tales is the only album by Art, a renamed band formerly known as The V.I.P.'s. The album contains mostly band compositions plus a cover of The Young Rascals' "Come on Up" and Buffalo Springfield's "For What It's Worth". Unusual for 1967, the album was issued in mono only. All members of Art sooner or later met again in Spooky Tooth.

Supernatural Fairy Tales est le seul album d'Art, un groupe rebaptisé anciennement The V.I.P.'s. L'album contient principalement des compositions de groupe, ainsi qu'une reprise de "Come on Up" de The Young Rascals et "For What It Worth" de Buffalo Springfield. Ashkan - In From The Cold (1969)

Ashkan made their recording debut with 1969's "In from the Cold" featuring the talents of singer Steve Bailey, bassist Ron Bending, drummer Terry Sims and guitarist Bob Weston,.Co-produced by Peter Sherter and Ian Sippin, to our ears much of the album bares an uncanny resemblance to early Spooky Tooth. Propelled by Bailey's hoarse growl and the band's penchant for screaming guitars, the comparison was reinforced on tracks such as "Going Home", "Take These Chains" and "Out of Us Two".

Danish 1960's rock/blues band. Joined later by US guitarist Billy Cross and known as Delta-Cross Band. The original line-up at the time of the 1969 debut was: Troels Jensen, Michael Puggaard-Müller, Thomas Puggaard-Müller, Søren Engel. Shortly after the debut release, the Puggaard-Müller brothers left to form Pan.

The Rationals - The Rationals (1969)

The Rationals were an American rock band from Ann Arbor, Michigan. Right from the start, they were more mature than the average teenage garage band. By the time Holland had got them wholly into R&B, the quartet was unbeatable, and had they had a more prolific writing team, the Rats could have easily become the American equivalent of the Small Faces or Winwood-era Spencer Davis Group.

The Rationals était un groupe de rock américain originaire d'Ann Arbor, au Michigan. Dès le début, ils étaient plus mûrs que le groupe moyen de garage pour adolescents. Au moment où Holland les avait complètement intégrés au R & B, le quatuor était imbattable, et s'ils avaient eu une équipe d'écriture plus prolifique, les Rats auraient facilement pu devenir l'équivalent américain du Small Faces ou du groupe Spencer Davis de Linwood.

SRC - Milestones (1969)

"Milestones" was released in March 1969. This is SRC's second album, although rather erratic, proved to be SRC's most popular. Containing their version of Grieg's "In the Hall Of The Mountain King" and Ravel's "Bolero," it's easy to see why they were such a success in the psychedelic ballrooms across the Midwest in the late '60s. From this album they released the single "Up All Night" / "Turn Into Love" in 1969.

Estes Brothers - Transitions (1971)

Similar to Bubble Puppy, Truth and Janey, or other U.S. bands featuring melodic vocals, and fluid jamming/wawa guitar solos. The Estes Brothers came from a musical family of 7 brothers and 5 sisters. This album was recorded in Ohio in 1971 and is near impossible to find, as there were only 100 pressed. The music is outstanding blues/hard rock with that lysergic blend of late '60's S.F. bands like Quicksilver Messenger Service & Mad River.

Semblable à Bubble Puppy, Truth et Janey, ou d'autres groupes américains avec des chants mélodiques, et des solos de guitare fluide à la wha-wha. Les Estes Brothers sont issus d'une famille musicale de 7 frères et 5 soeurs. Cet album a été enregistré dans l'Ohio en 1971 et est presque impossible à trouver, car il n'y en avait que 100 pressés. La musique est exceptionnelle blues / hard rock avec ce mélange lysergique de la fin des années 60  des groupes comme Quicksilver Messenger Service & Mad River.

The Koala is a band from the East New York section of Brooklyn, bordering Queens. The musicians are the future members of Sir Lord Baltimore. The album they made together was largely forgotten collector's market drove the price of original copies ever upwards, and its energetic charm began to spread.

Laidlaw - First Big Picnic (1999)

Laidlaw were discovered by Nikki Sixx of Mötley Crue and they were from California. So, any sarcastic comment is expected. But don't let that hold you back from trying this out. These guys sound very Southern and they play some fine heavy rock. If you're Blackfoot or Lynyrd Skynyrd, you'll love this. Great songs, nothing sophisticated, all good fun. 

Laidlaw a été découvert par Nikki Sixx de Mötley Crue et ils venaient de Californie. Donc, tout commentaire sarcastique est attendu. Mais ne laissez pas cela vous empêcher de l'essayer. Ces gars-là ont l'air très méridionaux et ils jouent du bon rock lourd. Si vous êtes Blackfoot ou Lynyrd Skynyrd, vous allez adorer ça. Raw Material - Raw Material (1970)

Raw Material was a British band that managed only two albums and disappeared. Their self-entitled 1970 debut on Evolution showed the band was in an identity crises, not sure whether to play progressive rock, blues, or psychedelia, and much of the album has a rather '60s feel. The album does have its moments anyway.

Raw Material était un groupe britannique qui a géré seulement deux albums puist a disparu. Leur premier album sorti en 1970 sur Evolution a montré que le groupe était dans une crise d'identité, ne sachant pas s'il devait jouer du rock progressif, du blues ou du psychédélisme, et une grande partie de l'album a plutôt l'air d'être des années 60. Rumplestiltskin - Black Magician (1972)

Vinyl reissue of the rare second album by this UK hard psych/prog oufit that rose out of the ashes of another UK psych outfit called Hungry Wolf. Rumplestiltskin is the classic example of a band that very few even knew existed.  Another band whose records company’s handling of them was apparently tragic.

Réédition en vinyle du rare second album de ce hard rock / prog qui sort des cendres d'Hungry Wolf, une autre formation britannique. Rumplestiltskin est l'exemple classique d'un groupe dont très peu connaissaient l'existence. Un autre groupe dont le traitement par la compagnie de disques était apparemment tragique.

It seems the band were originally from California, having formed in 1969 when drummer Chet McCracken (former "Evergreen Blue Shoes" with future Byrd Skip Battin) and guitarist Jack Merrill, joined bassist Bob Rochan. Help began played clubs in the area and gained a reputation as a powerful live band In late 1969 the group signed with the major label Decca Records after producer Val Garay saw them in a Los Angeles concert and was impressed.
