Composé de musiciens du groupe Virus (Werner Monka, Reinhold Spiegelfeld, Peet Becker, Rainer Schnelle), le projet est enrichi de la présence discrète de Ken Hensley (Uriah Heep), utilisant le pseudonyme "Ken Lesley" pour claviers, guitare et chant . Greezy Wheels is an Austin, Texas-based rock/alternative/Americana band that formed in the 1970s. They played more frequently at the Armadillo World Headquarters than any other band in the history of the venue. They are regarded as the Armadillo house band and are elected members of the Austin Music Hall Of Fame. Greezy Wheels' music is a raucous blend of rock, funk, R&B, alt-country, and Ozarks. In their early days, they were the only band with a female fiddler, Sweet Mary Hattersley.

Steamhammer was chosen as legendary blues guitarist Freddy King's backing band whenever he toured England. The musicians in the band were Martin Quittenton (guitar), Kieran White (vocals, guitar, harmonica), Martin Pugh (guitar), Steve Davy (bass), and Michael Rushton (drums). The album includes classic blues numbers by B.B. King ("You'll Never Know") and Eddie Boyd ("Twenty-four Hours"), as well as compositions by band members White, Quittenton, and Pugh. The session musicians Harold McNair (flute) and Pete Sears (piano) also appear on the album.

Steamhammer a été choisi comme le groupe de soutien du légendaire guitariste de blues Freddy King chaque fois qu'il a tourné en Angleterre. Terry Reid - River (1973)

The world is filled with people who have never had the opportunity to succeed, despite their multiple attempts. Rarer is the case of those who have all the cards in their hand but who, for one reason or another, choose to keep a low profile. Terry Reid is one of those. River is the very type of cult album. It is not a masterpiece but it has what is missing from some recognized albums: a soul. Terry Reid's song lives on the album, filling the gaps. This is the type of album that we always come back to regularly, as a mistress of the heart.
