Pablo Cruise is a pop/rock band currently composed of David Jenkins (guitar and vocals), Cory Lerios (keyboards and vocals), Steve Price (drums) and Larry Antonino (bass and vocals). Formed in 1973, the band released eight studio albums over the next decade, during which time five singles reached the top 25 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The group underwent several personnel changes and split up in 1986.

Week-End Millionnaire - Retour De Croisière (1992)

Week-End Millionnaire is a French band founded in 1977 in Toulouse. It consists of three former members of "Peach Melba": Jean-Michel Navarre (guitar, percussion, vocals), Alain Thomas (bass, keyboard, vocals) and Nicolas "Niko" Gorodetzky (guitar, flute, keyboards, saxophone and vocals ). Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, America and the Eagles accompanied them all their teenage years and showed them the way. In 91, after the release of the compilation "French music", the group is reforming, time to record a third and last studio album "Return Cruise" on the label WMD (Fnac Music).

Week-End Millionnaire est un groupe français fondé fin 1977 à Toulouse. Formed by three young French students from Toulouse, Alain Thomas, Jean-Michel Navarre and Nicolas Gorodetzky, the group was successful from 1978 to 1983 with their songs very much influenced by West Coast music. They had an obsession with the silky melody, a manic taste for harmony of voices, an obvious sense of the Hit. Hard Candy is the second solo album by Ned Doheny. It features his version of "Love of Your Own" (written with Hamish Stuart) which was also recorded with Stuart's Average White Band the same year. It also includes the original version of “Get It Up for Love” which was covered by Táta Vega in 1979.

Formerly Fat Harry - Formerly Fat Harry (1971)

Formed in 1969 in Croydon by three ex-Berkeley musicians, Gary Peterson, Phil Greenberg and Bruce Barthol who had not long left Country Joe & the Fish, Formerly Fat Harry were signed to the legendary Peter Jenner and Andrew King’s Blackhill Enterprises and became a mainstay of the festivals and underground club circuit. The band mined a rich blues, folk and country vein and heavily infused it with a psychedelic edge.

1972's "Griffin" tended to get lukewarm reviews from critics. It's true that tracks such as 'Music's Calling Me', 'Whatever Happens Happens' and 'In the Darkness' were quite commercial and radio typed. An added bonus to ours ears is the fact that much of the set sported a nice Latin flavor - imagine Manassas with a more top-40 orientation, or perhaps The Doobie Brothers with a Latin touch.

"Griffin" de 1972 avait tendance à recevoir des critiques tièdes des critiques. Il est vrai que des morceaux tels que 'Music's Calling Me', 'Whatever Happens Happens' et 'In the Darkness' étaient très typés et radiophoniques. Levee Blues is the second album from American band Potliquor released in 1972 . Work on Levee Blues began in February 1971 at Deep South Recording Studio, and even though it had been planned for release in May, the band did not complete recording until August 1971 with the album release coming in December.

Formed in San Francisco in 1967, West revolved around guitarists Ron Cornelius and Michael Stewart, the latter of whom was previously a member of We Five. Lloyd Perata (guitar), Joe Davis (bass), Bob Claire and Jon Sagen (drums) completed the line-up featured on West, a gentle country/folk collection which contrasted the acid-rock preferred by many geographical contemporaries.

It was 1968 and a young folk singer and guitarist started talking about her in Greenwich Village, where Jimi Hendrix lives. Like Hendrix, Kangaroo's ex-chorist is spotted on the Wha café scene? in the heart of Manhattan. She signed in the wake of Warner and released a first album the following year. Hailed by critics but ignored by the public, this disc goes by the wayside.

Nous sommes en 1968 et une jeune chanteuse et guitariste de folk commence à faire parler d'elle à Greenwich Village, où réside notamment Jimi Hendrix. Comme Hendrix, l'ex choriste de Kangaroo se fait repérer sur la scène du café Wha? en plein cœur de Manhattan. Elle signe dans la foulée chez Warner et sort un premier album l'année suivante. Salué par la critique mais ignoré par le public, ce disque passe à la trappe.

Spooky Tooth - You Broke My Heart So I Busted Your Jaw (1973)

It was the first album to be released after the band re-formed, following their 1970 breakup. Founding guitarist Luther Grosvenor did not rejoin the band, as he had joined Mott The Hoople as a guitarist, adopting the stage name of Ariel Bender. Grosvenor was replaced by Mick Jones, who later co-founded Foreigner while founding drummer Mike Kellie was replaced by Bryson Graham.

C'était le premier album à sortir après la reformation du groupe, après leur rupture de 1970. This obscure album recorded on Map Records has risen to the status of cult because of its scarcity and the musical orientation of Warren Adams (vocals, piano, organ), Kenneth Roberts (vocals, rhythm), William Adams (vocals, conga), Frank Smith (lead guitar), Del Moran (bass), Richard Payne (drums), and lone female Diane Dunlap (vocals). When black Americans did rock and did it brilliantly.

Freddy Lindquist - Menu (1970)

Freddy Lindquist was a veteran of several Norwegian beat bands before embarking on his solo album in 1970. Moving on to heavy rock he produced an album in the classic vein of Cream and Taste - the comparison being even more apt as the addition of two help-mates made the band into a trio. The guitar-work on the opener ‘Sundae Sellers’ is very Clapton-influenced, although in no way just a copy-cat.

Freddy Lindquist était un vétéran de plusieurs groupes de beat norvégiens avant de se lancer dans son album solo en 1970. Passant au heavy rock, il a produit un album dans la veine classique de Cream and Taste - la comparaison étant encore plus pertinente avec l'ajout de deux copains qui ont fait du groupe un trio. Brown Dust - Brown Dust (1972)

Singer player Paul Cisneros was apparently the Brown Dust front man and was responsible for inviting former Spiral Staircase drummer Vinnie Parello into the lineup. Rounded out by bassist Carlos Longoria, guitarist George Noranger and sax players Frank Ramos and George Stanley, the band was apparently based in Southern California, though hey subsequently relocated to Hawaii where they made a living playing tourist hotels through the early 1970s.

Le chanteur Paul Cisneros était probablement le leader du groupe Brown Dust et était responsable de l'invitation de l'ancien batteur de Spiral Staircase, Vinnie Parello. Good Dog Banned - Good Dog Banned (1973)

Good Dog Banned has formed amid around 1971. Mortensen had left Los Angeles along with Chris Miller (guitar, sax) during the hippie exodus from the cities, looking for cheap rent and a good time. He had played in numerous garage bands while Miller had come out of the coffee house-folk circuit. Bassist Dwight Wolf joined up with the other guys after exiting his miniscule town in Colorado, where he was likely exposed mostly to country and rockabilly.

Good Dog Banned s'est formé autour de 1971. Mortensen avait quitté Los Angeles avec Chris Miller (guitare, sax) lors de l'exode hippie des villes, cherchant un loyer bon marché et du bon temps. Il avait joué dans de nombreux groupes de garage alors que Miller était sorti du circuit folk-house. Le bassiste Dwight Wolf a rejoint les autres mecs après avoir quitté sa minuscule ville du Colorado, où il avait probablement été exposé principalement au country et au rockabilly.

Shaggy was a band formed in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1973. The band released just one album "Lessons For Beginners," in 1975, the album is very rare and its value for the original vinyl was about $ 300.The album begins with "Destination Nowhere", a killer track where we can find noticeable influences from Deep Purple in both guitars as the Hammonds.

Heads Hands And Feet - Tracks (1972)

Tracks (1972) is their second album of the group published by Island for England and for Capitol in the United States; excellent album mix of folk, blues, country and rock (rare among the English). Heads Hands & Feet puts us on the menu of his second LP a proven recipe: country rock and played to perfection. This record is a bit reminiscent of what the Dead was doing at that time.

Tracks (1972) est leur deuxième opus du groupe édité chez Island pour l'Angleterre et pour Capitol aux Etats-Unis; excellent album mélange de folk, blues, country et rock (rare chez les anglais). Heads Hands & Feet nous rencontrer au menu de son deuxième LP une recette qui a fait ses preuves: du country rock et joué à la perfection. Ce disque fait un peu penser à ce que le Dead a fait à cette époque.

Hookfoot - Roaring (1973)

Hookfoot, created by Southampton based musicians vocalist Ian Duck, bassist Dave Glover and drummer Roger Pope, was virtually the side act to their day jobs as session musicians for Elton John. The band started life as an R&B band The Soul Agents in 1965. A name change to The Final One then led to Hookfoot. The debut album, which found the band ploughing a similar Country Rock furrow to Cochise and covering songs by Neil Young

Hookfoot, créé par Ian Duck, chanteur basé à Southampton, le bassiste Dave Glover et le batteur Roger Pope, était pratiquement leur emploi de jour en tant que musiciens de session pour Elton John. Le groupe a commencé sa vie comme un groupe de R & B, The Soul Agents, en 1965. Un changement de nom pour The Final One a ensuite conduit à Hookfoot. This group has connections to the Doobie Brothers, Tiran Porter would replace Dave Shogren on bass for the Doobies’ second album Toulouse Street in 1972. With every listen to the album it goes better and better! There are great compositions combined with an absolutely fitting voice.

A Gary Wright production on Tamla Motown's progressive label. He contributes a couple of songs and the album is heavy with a touch of, inevitable,sounding similar to Spooky Tooth. Allan Odom has a better voice than Gary Wright for starters. Yes this album isnt anything special but it does have some good tunes for those who like Soft Rock.

Gamble (organ, saxophone, guitar, trumpet), Tom Dowty (bass, valve trombone), Jim King (guitar, trombone, organ),and Donnie Tanksleary (drums).

Mose Jones - Mose Knows (1974)

Mose Jones formed in 1972, with core members from the Florida band "Stonehenge". The band's name derived from jazz great "Mose Allison' and a family dog named "Jones". Initially the band was created with Clay Watkins on keys, then during the recording of their first album, Clay was replaced by long-time friend Steve McRay (keys and vocals), who had just returned from his stint with the US Army and serving in Vietnam.

Mose Jones formé en 1972, avec des membres de base du groupe de Floride "Stonehenge". Sweet Toothe - Testing (1975)

Sweet Toothe is a US band formed by bassist Pierce Bratton, drummer Michael Chilco, lead guitarist Emerson Conley, singer Michael Hopkins and rhythm guitarist David Leedy). Produced by Benny Quinn and Patrick Glossop, 1975's "Testing" was released by the small label Nashville-based Dominion Records. Thanks of Conley's fuzz guitar, there were occasional psych touches, the most notable being the lyric to 'All the Way Home', but the majority of the album offered up more conventional hard rock structures. Propelled by Hopkins' attractive voice and Conley's nifty fuzz guitar, tracks such as 'Karen', 'Music's Gotta Stay', are great melodies.

Heartwood - Nothin' Fancy (1975)

Heartwood made two albums in the 70's, this being the last. They were an Atlanta based outfit that played their Southern Rock with some very heavy Country Rock influences. Like The Outlaws, Heartwood were great on vocals harmonies. Stylistically there is a definite West Coast connection. Though it's closer to the first wave of Country Rock bands then later stuff. It's got steel and banjo, and some really nice songs.

Heartwood a fait deux albums dans les années 70, ce dernier étant le dernier. Ils étaient une équipe basée à Atlanta qui a joué leur rock sudiste avec de très fortes influences country rock. Comme The Outlaws, Heartwood était génial sur les harmonies vocales. Stylistiquement, il y a une connexion West Coast définie. Bien que ce soit plus proche de la première vague de groupes de country rock que de trucs plus tardifs. Il y a de la steel guitar et du banjo, et de très belles chansons.
