Jukin' Bone - Way Down East (1972)

Formed in 1970 in Syracuse, N.Y., Jukin' Bone (formerly under the name Free Will) entered Jimi Hendrix's Electric Ladyland studios to record their debut album for RCA Victor entitled "Whiskey Woman." After a lineup change, and with two drummers, Their second album "Way Down East" was released along with two singles: "Whiskey Woman" and "Carol Lynn" (both from the debut L.P.) The band toured the mid-west extensively, but failed to garner any followers (outside of Syracuse) due to poor promotion and publicity. In the fall of 1973 Jukin' Bone "Syracuse's Biggest Band" disbanded.

Strongbow - Strongbow (1975)

Strongbow started when Dave Smith met Bill Bendler when both were playing in the Rhodes Brothers touring band. David (drums) and Bill (vocals, trombone) wanted to play in a progressive hard rock band, so they left and got together withSandy Edelstine and Bud Fowler to form Axis. Later in 1972 "Buzz" Ashton replaces Edelstine on guitar, and Mike Haines returns on bass. The band resurrects the Strongbow name and plays a lot of gigs in Michigan.

Elliott Randall - Randall's Island (1970)

Elliott Randall is an American guitarist, best estimated for being a session musician with popular artists. Randall played the well-known guitar solos from Steely Dan's song "Reelin' in the Years" and Irene Cara's song "Fame". It was reported that Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page said Randall's solo on "Reelin' in the Years" is his favorite guitar solo of all-time.

Elliott Randall est un guitariste américain, estimé pour être un excellent musicien de session avec des artistes populaires. Armageddon - Armageddon (1970)

They aren't 1975 Keith Relf's Armageddon or 1969 Texas Armageddon or 1970 Dogfeet Armageddon they are from Germany and this is their debut and only LP.  This is an album of heavy psychedelic rock with a little prog rock influences.. Leaded  by prolific guitarist Frank Diez, Berlin-based Armageddon played Anglo-American inspired rock . They made this sole album and then split up.

Ils ne sont pas l'Armageddon de Keith Relf en 1975 ou l'Armageddon du Texas en 1969 ou l'Armageddon de Dogfeet en 1970, ils sont d'Allemagne et c'est leur premier et seul LP. C'est un album de heavy rock psychédélique aux influences prog rock. Dirigé par le prolifique guitariste Frank Diez, Armageddon, basé à Berlin, a joué du rock d'inspiration anglo-américaine. Ace - Five-A-Side (1974)

From the look of its album cover, Ace is a band of five frustrated English football players who, like Rod Stewart, turned to music to compensate for their athletic shortcomings. This quintet with semipro backgrounds proves to be master of the catchy melody and the natty hook. It has a benevolent addiction to lean instrumentation, seemingly well aware that virtuoso excursions would be both unnecessary and unsatisfactory.

Du point de vue de la couverture de son album, Ace est un groupe de cinq joueurs de football anglais frustrés qui, comme Rod Stewart, se sont tournés vers la musique pour compenser leurs lacunes athlétiques. Home - Home (1972)

Home was formed by Cliff Williams and Laurie Wisefield in 1970 after their first group together, 'Sugar', split. They teamed up with guitarist and vocalist Mick Stubbs and drummer Mick Cook. They signed to CBS Records in 1971 and released their first album, Pause for a Hoarse Horse, in August. They started touring in November when they supported Led Zeppelin at the second Electric Magic Show at the Wembley Empire Pool. From then on, they opened for groups such as Argent, The Jeff Beck Group, and The Faces. In September of the same year, they went into the studio again to record the Home album.

Cressida was a British progressive rock band, best known for its mellow, symphonic sound. Originally known as Charge, the band was active from 1968 to 1970, and recorded two albums for Vertigo.

Polyphony - Without Introduction (1971)

This is the only album from this Virginia band. So much great music happening at that time that this one fell through the cracks. This is great progresive rock from 1971 just as good as anything coming out of England at the time. The music can be described as equal parts symphonic prog, and hard space rock.

C'est le seul album de ce groupe de Virginie. Il se produisait tellement de super musique à cette époque-là que celle-ci est passée à travers les mailles du filet. C'est un super rock progressif de 1971 aussi bon que tout ce qui sort d'Angleterre à l'époque. La musique peut être décrite comme des parties égales de prog symphonique, et de hard rock spatial.

Stepson - Stepson (1974)

Portland's Stepson were a sweatdrenched bluesy hard rock act that rose from the ashes of defunct area band, Touch. Their sole album was released on ABC/ Dunhill Records in 1974, though the band were essentially a studio creation.

Spirit of John Morgan - Spirit of John Morgan (1969)

Although released in 1971, the debut self-titled album by Spirit of John Morgan was actually recorded two years earlier, before the spirit of the '60s dissipated into the excesses of the '70s. But even back in 1969, the British quartet were already fish out of water, gasping for R&B in a Technicolor age of psychedelia. So they created their own, an entire album's worth of strong, shadowed, R&B numbers underlit by magnificent musicianship and powerful rhythms. 

Bien que sorti en 1971, le premier album éponyme de Spirit of John Morgan a été enregistré deux ans plus tôt, avant que l'esprit des années 60 ne se dissipe dans les excès des années 70.
