🎸 Starcastle - Starcastle (1976)

Starcastle have been historically tagged as nothing more than a plastic second rate Yes clone band. Without a question the music of Yes shaped this band and musically there are some very strong similarities, but having said that the first album is total enjoyment with 7 great songs. Starcastle blend fantasty- space keyboards, Richenbacher bass lines, and pointed guitars with some fantastic vocal harmonies.

Starcastle a été historiquement étiqueté comme rien de plus qu'un clone de deuxième zone du groupe Yes. Sans aucun doute, la musique de Yes a façonné ce groupe et musicalement il y a de très fortes similitudes, mais il fait reconnaître que ce premier album est un plaisir total avec 7 superbes chansons. Starcastle mélange des claviers spatiaux fantastiques, des lignes de basse Richenbacher et des guitares pointues avec des harmonies vocales fantastiques.

Hungry Wolf n’est pas un groupe traditionnel mais un collectif de musiciens de studio britanniques réuni autour du claviériste Alan Hawkshaw et du guitariste-produit Alan Parker, actifs à la fin des années 60 à Londres. Le projet aboutit à un unique album sorti en 1970 chez Philips Records, alliant psychédélique, jazz-rock, funk et orchestration brassée. Enregistré aux studios Lansdowne et Morgan, l’album offre une expérience instrumentale souvent dominée par l’orgue Hammond et des arrangements cuivrés sophistiqués.

Supergroup formed in 1974 by ex-Yardbirds and Renaissance Keith Relf, former Renaissance and Steamhammer Louis Cennamo, former Steamhammer Martin Pugh and former Captain Beyond Bobby Caldwell. An amazing and explosive album, on one side the incredible riffs of Pugh who crushes everything in his way and on the other the voice of Keith Relf, a voice that seems worn, rough, the voice of a man to health delicate, which is more and more difficult to bear the drugs he has been taking since a young age.

Supergroupe formé en 1974 par l'ex-Yardbirds et Renaissance Keith Relf, l'ex-Renaissance et Steamhammer Louis Cennamo, l'ex-Steamhammer Martin Pugh et l'ex-Captain Beyond Bobby Caldwell.
