Starcastle - Starcastle (1976)

Starcastle have been historically tagged as nothing more than a plastic second rate Yes clone band. Without a question the music of Yes shaped this band and musically there are some very strong similarities, but having said that the first album is total enjoyment with 7 great songs. Starcastle blend fantasty- space keyboards, Richenbacher bass lines, and pointed guitars with some fantastic vocal harmonies.

Starcastle a été historiquement étiqueté comme rien de plus qu'un clone de deuxième zone du groupe Yes. Sans aucun doute, la musique de Yes a façonné ce groupe et musicalement il y a de très fortes similitudes, mais il fait reconnaître que ce premier album est un plaisir total avec 7 superbes chansons. Starcastle mélange des claviers spatiaux fantastiques, des lignes de basse Richenbacher et des guitares pointues avec des harmonies vocales fantastiques.

Hungry Wolf - Hungry Wolf (1970)

Originally released on Philips, Hungry Wolf’s sole album is a primarily instrumental pop rock affair, with some heavy Hammond organ to hold interest (courtesy of the Mohawks’ Alan Hawkshaw).

A work of session musicians including future members of Rumplestiltskin and Ugly Custard. swirling freaking organs and various wood instruments accompany guitarist Alan Parker.The album is now very rare.

Sorti à l'origine sur Philips, le seul album de Hungry Wolf est une affaire de pop rock essentiellement instrumentale, avec de l'orgue Hammond lourd (avec l'aimable autorisation d'Alan Hawkshaw des Mohawks). Un travail de musiciens de session incluant les futurs membres de Rumplestiltskin et Ugly Custard. des orgues tourbillonnants et divers instruments en bois accompagnent le guitariste Alan Parker. Babylon - Babylon (1978)

Babylon formed in 1976 and played together only three years and released this eponymous album in 1978 and like many prog bands of the late 70s saw diminishing returns in this type of music being drowned out by angry punkers and disco balls in roller skating rinks and called it a day. They left behind this one album that sounds something like a lost Genesis album from the days between "Nursery Crime" and "Foxtrot." 

Babylon s'est formé en 1976  a joué seulement trois ans et a publié cet album éponyme en 1978 et comme beaucoup de groupes prog de la fin des années 70 ont obtenu des résultats décroissants dans ce type de musique étouffé par le punk et le disco Ils ont laissé derrière eux cet album qui ressemble à un album de Genesis perdu entre "Nursery Crime" et "Foxtrot".

Armageddon - Armageddon (1975)

Supergroup formed in 1974 by ex-Yardbirds and Renaissance Keith Relf, former Renaissance and Steamhammer Louis Cennamo, former Steamhammer Martin Pugh and former Captain Beyond Bobby Caldwell. An amazing and explosive album, on one side the incredible riffs of Pugh who crushes everything in his way and on the other the voice of Keith Relf, a voice that seems worn, rough, the voice of a man to health delicate, which is more and more difficult to bear the drugs he has been taking since a young age.

Supergroupe formé en 1974 par l'ex-Yardbirds et Renaissance Keith Relf, l'ex-Renaissance et Steamhammer Louis Cennamo, l'ex-Steamhammer Martin Pugh et l'ex-Captain Beyond Bobby Caldwell.

Un album étonnant et explosif, d'un côté les riffs incroyables de Pugh qui écrase tout sur son passage et de l'autre la voix habitée de Keith Relf, une voix qui semble usée, rugueuse, la voix d'un homme à la santé délicate, qui supporte de plus en plus difficilement les drogues qu'il prend depuis son plus jeune âge.

Slow tempos and tons of really nice acoustic guitar make Alshia more distinctive than any typical AOR or hard rock band.a nice LP! The band achieves a high quality performance & the songs are strong & captivating. A perfect combination between the prog rock (Yes) and the country/folk rock (Eagles/America).

Des tempos lents et des tonnes de guitares acoustiques vraiment sympas font d'Alshia un groupe plus distinctif que n'importe quel groupe AOR ou hard rock typique. Le groupe atteint une performance de haute qualité et les chansons sont fortes et captivantes. Une combinaison parfaite entre le rock progressif (Yes) et le country / folk rock (Eagles / America).
