Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion (2009)

With Merriweather Post Pavillion Animal Collective deliver their most pop album and most accessible to date in pursuing the electro movement initiated by Panda Bear Person Pitch on the excellent. The album should at least get everyone to agree on certain points: point scam here, we think what we want from previous albums, here we see that Animal Collective know how to make music, they have a real sense of catchy melody and sweet and they definitely know how to sing . In the end we get an album of 11 tracks that suffer no weakness ending with a "Brother Sport" epic, the kind of piece that exudes optimism and who you refile the potato for the day because Merriweather is essentially a joyous album , pop, innovative soundscapes with these air Ethereal songs and group characteristics that can listen at will as the wealth of his tracks makes new discoveries with each pass.

Cet opus devrait au moins mettre tout le monde d'accord sur certains points :
point d'escroquerie ici, on pense ce qu'on veut des précédents albums, on constate ici que les Animal Collective savent faire de la musique, qu'ils ont un véritable sens de la mélodie accrocheuse et sucrée et qu'ils savent définitivement chanter. Au final on obtient un album de 11 titres qui ne souffrent aucune faiblesse s'achevant sur un "Brother Sport" épique, le genre de morceau qui respire l'optimisme et qui vous refile la patate pour la journée car Merriweather est essentiellement un album joyeux, pop, aux ambiances sonores innovantes avec ces chants aériens et ethérés caractéristiques du groupe qu'on peut réécouter à l'envi tant la richesse de ses morceaux permet de nouvelles découvertes à chaque passage.
