Danger Danger - The Return Of The Great Gildersleeves (2000)

This album is in no way connected to the Danger Danger of old. This is a rocking new band with Canada's Paul Laine on vocals. With him comes a new sound and heavier, rawer sound. His vocals are tougher than Ted's which makes the band sound tougher and that's what is  the problem. If this came out between 1987 & 1990 it would have been a massive success and Skid Row would have had some competition.

Bangalore Choir - Metaphor (2012)

The musicians of Bangalore Choir have abandoned the heavy US FM sound of yore for a hard rock bluesy trend ("Scandinavian Rose") or country ("Never Face Ole Joe Alone"). The whole is not unpleasant and listen very well chatting around a cold beer. The know-how is real and if we admit that Reece no longer has the voice of yesteryear, her refrains are rather pleasant.

42 Decibel ‎- Hard Rock 'N' Roll (2013)

42 Decibel probably gets its name from the lyrics of "Let There Be Rock" screamed by Bon Scott ("there was a 42 decibel rockin 'band"). This group plays us a Hard n 'Roll in the vein of the first two albums of AC / DC. It's played to perfection. The sound of guitars, bass and drums are reproduced identically. The spirit is there too. A little slide comes to slip at times and refers us to these other Australians that are the Rose Tatoo. All compositions are personal, they are not covers.

Black Sheep - Encouraging Words (1975)

Black Sheep is primarily remembered for being the band where vocalist Lou Gramm sang in before joining the successful '80s rock band Foreigner. Gramm had originally been in a band called Poor Heart in the early '70s. However, nothing much came of Poor Heart, and Gramm formed Black Sheep with bassist Bruce Turgon (who would also join Foreigner) and his younger brother Richard, who played guitar. The band scored a record contract with Capitol and released two albums, a self-titled debut (1975) and Encouraging Words (1976).

This blues rock album is a private Californian printing. It exists a very rare original LP on red vinyl, the black LP is a counterfeit from the 90ties. Charlie Williams is the same singer as on the Mistress album recorded in 1979. Here we have very heavy bluesy rock with a excellent goosebump feel.

Sam Parry ‎– If Sadness Could Sing (1972)

Sam Parry was a folk singer. Sadness Could Sing is his sole album. After that, he did contribute some harmonica on a couple of tracks of an album recorded and produced in a small local studio (Solar Sound Studios at Llanrhystud) for Strachan & Griffiths on the SoSo label in around 1984 then nothing else. It was as if, rather than losing interest in playing, he prefered to abandon. The gift peaked in 1972-3, and then gradually deserted him. He moved away from music and by around 1976 – after dabbling with flute and sax for a while but never getting very far – he’d more or less stopped playing.

Bert Keely ‎– Take Me Home (1979)

When the bites of dawn will be felt, when the night has exhausted all his elixir, Bert Keely will return home. Before that, we will have accompanied him in his drift, a happy drift where nothing is negligible or indifferent, where, following the course of thoughts and daydreams, it is a question of watching for the signals and the objective chances. We have listened to these ten songs recorded in unlikely venues in Palo Alto, between rooms and shower stalls. We will have tasted the very special atmosphere of what is stolen from the day and which in itself forms a parallel world. We will have traveled all the night range of this journey carried by loose guitars, a serpentine fuzz, a soft and sensual voice. We have loved these psyche (reverb, phasing), these escapades to jazz horizons.

Wild Savages's second album, Stagefright. Hear ye, hear ye! In other words, that's all Stagefright and it's totally great.

Le deuxième album de Wild Savages, Stagefright. Écoutez, écoutez! Kula Shaker - K2.0 (2016)

In 1996, Kula Shaker were one of the biggest bands in Britain, as their speedy-selling debut album, K, stormed to No 1 with a blend of 60s rocking, Britpop, Arthurian legend and Indian mysticism. Two decades on, their fifth album doesn’t journey too far from the sound of old hits such as Tattva and Govinda: it starts with a flourish of sitars, and finds frontman Crispian Mills roaring “We are one, the infinite sun”. The blond-locked frontman hasn’t lost his gift for tunes.
