Black Cat Bones - Barbed Wire Sandwich (1970)

Out of London, Black Cat Bones was one of those bands that served as an incubator for it's various members later rock incarnations. In this case bands like Free, Foghat, and Bad Company drew members of Black Cat Bones. They released an eponymous single in 1969, and the one album Barbed Wire Sandwich before they split and went on their separate ways.  The original vinyl version of the album is now highly sough after by collectors of heavy blues of the late 60's-early 70's.

Lincoln St. Exit - Drive It ! (1970)

Lincoln St. Exit were from Albuquerque, the New Mexico's premiere garage/ psych band of the late 60's / early 70's. "Drive It" was their first full length LP. It ranges from the psych / heavy blues ridden "Dirty Mother Blues" to the easy going "Soulful Drifter". In between are songs reflecting the times, "Man Machine", and "Time Has Come, Gonna Die", refelecting the Nam era vibe hanging over us all.

Linclon St. Exit était à Albuquerque, le premier groupe de garage / psych du Nouveau-Mexique de la fin des années 60 / début des années 70. "Drive It" fut leur premier LP complet. Cela va du psych / heavy blues tel "Dirty Mother Blues" au facile "Soulful Drifter". American Eagle - American Eagle (1970)

American Eagle started out in the Pacific Northwest as the Surprise Package and featured ex-members of The Viceroys, Galaxies, and Rock Collection. By the time they ended up American Eagle, they had relocated to California. The Surprise Package released one album: "Free Up" among a handful of singles in 1969. By 1970 they'd changed their name to American Eagle and released their sole eponymous L.P. on Decca. Featuring a cover of the Moody Blues' "Nights in White Satin" mixed in with Vanilla Fudge type hard rock, with melodic passages. 

American Eagle a débuté dans le Pacific Northwest sous le nom de Surprise Package et a progressivement intégré d'anciens membres des Viceroys, Galaxies et Rock Collection. After Tea was founded in 1967 by Hans van Eyck and Polle Eduard, both ex-members of the Tee Set. The group produced three moderate hits in 1967-1968: “Not Just A Flower In Your Hair”, “We Will Be There After Tea” and “Snowflakes on Amsterdam”. The most important composer Hans van Eyck left shortly after the recordings of the first LP, “National Disaster” and subsequently rejoined the Tee Set. Martin Hage was next to leave, replaced firstly by Pierre van der Linden (later to Focus, Trace), and later by Ilja Gort.

After Tea a été fondé en 1967 par Hans van Eyck et Polle Eduard, tous deux ex-membres du Tee Set. Three Man Army - Two (1974)

Three Man Army offers an elaborate Hard-Rock, well anchored in the 70's, and quite diversified. Although Adrian Gurvitz (sometimes called Curtis, especially in his debut) has a relatively marked game by Clapton Cream era, and even if we find here and there affiliations with the tenors of the genre as Led Zep (Polecat Woman), Bad Co (more obvious on previous albums), Deep-Purple or Uriah-Heep, the compositions show originality and innovation.

Three Man Army propose un Hard-Rock élaboré, bien ancré dans les 70's, et assez diversifié. Bien qu'Adrian Gurvitz (parfois nommé Curtis, notamment à ses débuts) a un jeu relativement marqué par Clapton époque Cream, et même si l'on retrouve ici ou là des affiliations avec les ténors du genre comme Led Zep (Polecat Woman), Bad Co (plus évident sur les albums précédents), Deep-Purple ou Uriah-Heep, les compositions font preuve d'originalités et d'innovations.
