After Studio One Presents Burning Spear in 1973, the trio merges with its leader, the name Burning Spear designates both the group and Winston Rodney. Burning Spear then recorded a series of masterpieces for Island. Marcus Garvey (1975), Man in the Hills (1976) and Dry & Heavy (1977) are all classics of reggae that carry the message of Rastafarianism.
