Plant and See est un groupe éphémère de Caroline du Nord mené par Willie Lowery, chanteur et guitariste d’origine amérindienne (tribu Lumbee), qui explore les frontières entre rock psychédélique, folk, blues et soul. Leur unique album éponyme, paru en 1969 sur le label White Whale, reflète cette mixité musicale avec une grande liberté créative. L’approche vocale de Lowery, émotive et puissante, se mêle à des compositions aux teintes parfois jazzy ou country. Après la dissolution du groupe, Lowery poursuivra un engagement artistique et communautaire fort au sein du groupe Lumbee. Cet album reste une belle curiosité psychédélique de la fin des sixties.

After the group disbanded, Lowery continued to promote Native culture through his music, especially with his next project, Lumbee.
