Pete Brown, the British beat poet best known for writing lyrics for Cream, launched Piblokto! in 1969 after parting ways with the Battered Ornaments. Their debut album Things May Come and Things May Go, But the Art School Dance Goes on Forever mixes progressive rock, blues, jazz influences, and Brown’s surreal lyrics. With quirky arrangements and a distinctly British sensibility, the album is a cult favourite from the psychedelic twilight era, celebrated for its artistic boldness and underground charm.
