This Detroit rock band really shines on their first and only LP. It was recorded in England at Olympic Studios and produced by Gary Wright. Released in 1972, Howl the Good rock out with tunes that bring to mind The Guess Who and early Bob Seger. A thoroughly enjoyable listen for fans of late 60s/early 70s hard rock. The raspy vocals and jamming guitar riffs present are almost so American that it hurts. Killer organ lines also dominate the mix, giving the songs a real groove. This is just by-the-books solid American rock with some prog and occasional psych influences here and there.
