Flash and the Pan is an Australian band founded in the late 1970s by two former Easybeats members: Harry Vanda and George Young. The latter, being the elder brother of Angus and Malcolm Young (AC / DC group), produced some of their albums.

Bloodrock was a band that managed to leave behind six very remarkable albums,  in a period of only six years. Their sound was sufficiently heavy and rough for their era but despite the good quality they never made it big. They opened a few shows of Black Sabbath in the U.S.A. and participated in some major festivals.

Bloodrock 2 is the second album by the Texas hard rock band Bloodrock, released on Capitol Records in October 1970. Well, Rutledge is now concentrating on the vocals and leaving his duties as the drummer, which is a bit of a bummer. The newer drummer is good, but lacked the attack and inventiveness behind the originality of the band.

The band 707 formed in Detroit; original members included Phil Bryant (bass, vocals), Jim McClarty (drums), Duke McFadden (keyboards, vocals), Kevin Russell (guitars, vocals), and David Carr (piano), although the lineup changed with each album. After signing to Casablanca, the band released its self-titled debut and had a modest radio hit with "I Could Be Good for You," written by McFadden and McCarty. The Second Album (1981) and Megaforce (1982) followed, but 707 never followed up its signature success.

Patty Smyth (born June 26, 1957) is an American rock and roll musician. She first enjoyed mainstream success in 1982 as lead singer of the band Scandal and later scored a solo #2 hit with her song "Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough". She is currently married to tennis star John McEnroe. Never Enough is the debut album by former Scandal frontwoman (and a singer-songwriter in her own right) Patty Smyth. It was released in 1987 on Columbia Records (also the group's label) three years after the band's breakup in 1984.

Avion were an Australian 1980s pop rock band formed in 1981, originally named Lionheart. In 1983 the band would release its first album on 1983 and despite great songs, top notch production and radio friendly image and music, the album just didn’t go anywhere. There are so many great songs here produced well it becomes another one of those great frustrations in the music world.

This top-class rock group emerged from North Carolina, USA. The band were formed in 1981 by vocalist Tim Clark and guitarist Jerry West. Recruiting Rick Lee (keyboards), Robbie Hegler (bass) and Lynn Samples (drums), they drew inspiration from the popular rock artists of the day (Journey, Styx and Kansas). They made a significant breakthrough with Fortune, a highly melodic album swathed in keyboards and silky-smooth vocal harmonies.The band had a road crew that was almost as famous as the band.

Craig Fuller and Eric Kaz had already teamed up in American Flyer (along with Blood, Sweat & Tears Steve Katz and the Velvet Underground s Doug Yule) before they collaborated on this 1978 album, but their pedigrees went way farther back than that band. Fuller made his debut with J.D. Blackfoot in 1970 and co-founded Pure Prairie League (for whom he wrote Amie), while Kaz had cut his teeth with Children of Paradise (along with Happy and Artie Traum) before joining Blues Magooes for two records. With a track record like that, it s no surprise that this record sported the crème de la crème of supporting musicians: J.D. Souther, Russ & Leah Kunkel, Leland Sklar, Michael McDonald, Leo Sayer.

Craig Fuller et Eric Kaz avaient déjà fait équipe dans American Flyer (avec Steve Katz, Blood & Sweat & Tears et Doug Yule de Velvet Underground) avant de collaborer à cet album de 1978, mais leurs pedigrees dépassaient de loin ce groupe. Blackfoot en 1970 et a co-fondé Pure Prairie League (pour qui il a écrit Amie), alors que Kaz s'était fait les dents avec Children of Paradise (avec Happy et Artie Traum) avant de rejoindre Blues Magooes pour deux disques. Avec un palmarès comme celui-là, il n'est pas surprenant que ce disque arborait la crème de la crème des musiciens de soutien: J.D. Souther, Russ & Leah Kunkel, Leland Sklar, Michael McDonald, Leo Sayer.

This is one of those collaborative albums between Hayden Gregg (Starwood) and Jim Dykann, which includes a number of star session players like Steve Lukather, Russ Kunkel, Danny Korchmar and Craig Doerge. It won’t set your world on fire, but it is a pleasant Westcoast album for when cruisin down the highway.
