Face to Face est un groupe new wave/pop rock originaire de Boston, formé autour de Laurie Sargent (chant) et Stuart Kimball (guitare). Leur premier album éponyme, sorti en 1984 sur Epic Records, est un concentré de synthpop mélodique, de guitares acérées et de refrains accrocheurs. Porté par le tube « 10-9-8 », ce disque s'inscrit pleinement dans l’esthétique sonore des années 1980, à mi-chemin entre The Motels, Berlin et Pat Benatar. Face to Face was a Boston-based new wave/pop rock band fronted by vocalist Laurie Sargent and guitarist Stuart Kimball. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1984 on Epic Records, delivered a sleek blend of synth-driven pop and edgy guitars, highlighted by the catchy single “10-9-8.” The album fits squarely into the 1980s new wave aesthetic, recalling acts like The Motels or Berlin.
