Chris Collingwood - Look Park (2016)

First solo album of Chris Collingwood, lead singer of Fountains Of Wayne. Collingwood turned to Mitchell Froome (nothing to do with electric bikes), which is particularly the producer Elvis Costello and Crowded House. He defends that this is another facet of his creative work in the Fountains Of Wayne and not a totally separate personal approach. Directed by dilettante but not sloppy, it is certain that this very interesting album deserves a listen.

Collingwood a fait appel à Mitchell Froome (rien à voir avec les vélos électriques), qui est notamment le producteur d'Elvis Costello et de Crowded House. 

Il défend qu'il s'agit d'une autre facette de son travail de création au sein des Fountains Of Wayne et non pas une démarche personnelle totalement distincte.

Réalisé en dilettante, mais pas bâclé, toujours est-il que cet opus très intéressant mérite largement une écoute.

Kendall Street Company - Earth Turns (2016)

If all indications are that the world no longer revolves round the Kendall Street Company defends the opposite with the Earth Turns excellent craftsmanship. A rock folk jazz that evokes the West Coast, served by talented performers. Louis Smith's voice, clear and powerful, is supported by a polished orchestration, delightfully punctuated by melodious saxophone riffs. A delight.

Si tout porte à croire que le monde ne tourne plus rond, la Kendall Street Company défend le contraire avec ce Earth Turns d'excellente facture.
Un rock folk jazz qui évoque la West Coast, servi par des interprètes talentueux.
La voix de Louis Smith, claire et puissante, est supportée par une orchestration léchée, délicieusement ponctuée de mélodieux riffs de saxophone. Un régal.

This minstrel of Illinois will seduce our demanding ears. My new folk-rock hero. Flower Power is back!

Accords jazzy, picking d'une précision irréprochable, douces harmonies et voix de velours. Ce ménestrel de l'Illinois a tout pour séduire nos oreilles exigeantes. Un nouveau folk-rock hero.
