N.S.U. (abréviation de "Non-Specific Units") est un obscur quatuor britannique formé à Aberdeen, en Écosse, à la fin des années 1960. Leur unique album, Turn On, Or Turn Me Down, publié en 1969 sur le label Head Records, est un puissant condensé de blues-rock psychédélique, qui évoque Cream, Blue Cheer, ou encore Ten Years After. Avec une production brute et directe, le disque s’impose par ses jams fuzzées, sa rythmique solide et ses éclats d’orgue Hammond. N.S.U., short for "Non-Specific Units," was a little-known blues-rock outfit from Aberdeen, Scotland. Their sole album, Turn On, Or Turn Me Down, released in 1969 on the tiny Head label, captures a raw, fuzz-drenched blend of psychedelic blues and heavy rock. Drawing comparisons to Cream, Savoy Brown, and Groundhogs, N.S.U. deliver gritty jams driven by thick guitar riffs, Hammond organ swells, and urgent vocals. Though the band quickly faded into obscurity, their lone LP remains a cult classic of the British underground scene, prized for its live feel and uncompromising sound.
