The Churchills was an Israeli band founded in 1965, active until the mid-1970s. The band played rock from psychedelic rock to hard rock and progressive rock. It was also active in other countries, under the aliases of Jericho Jones. On  this second second album, Jericho Jones becomes Jericho. This disc is also part of the pantheon of neglected masterpieces. The guitarist Haim Romano is still masterful. Compared to the first album, the compositions are more raw and incisive.

The Churchills était un groupe israélien fondé en 1965, actif jusqu'au milieu des années 1970. Le groupe a joué du rock psychédélique au hard rock et au rock progressif. Il était également actif dans d'autres pays, sous les alias de Jericho Jones. Sur ce deuxième deuxième album, Jericho Jones devient Jericho. Ce disque fait également partie du panthéon des chefs-d'œuvre négligés. Le guitariste Haim Romano est encore magistral. Par rapport au premier album, les compositions sont plus crues et incisives.

Necromandus - Orexis Of Death (1973)

Orexis of Death is the only album by doom rock band Necromandus. It was recorded in 1973 under the supervision of Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi, but was shelved due to Barry Dunnery's departure from the band and wasn't released until 1999. The album was re-released in 2005 under the name Orexis of Death Plus... and included two unreleased bonus tracks. 

Orexis of Death est le seul album du groupe de doom rock Necromandus. Il a été enregistré en 1973 sous la supervision du guitariste de Black Sabbath Tony Iommi, mais a été mis à l'écart en raison du départ de Barry Dunnery du groupe et n'a été publié qu'en 1999. L'album a été réédité en 2005 sous le nom Orexis of Death Plus. .. et inclut deux pistes bonus inédites.

Klaatu - Hope (1970)

Hope, released in September 1977, is the second album by the Canadian progressive rock group Klaatu.The album opens with the song “We’re Off You Know” and it’s a pretty decent track to open the album, it’s kind of like a Beatles song, but it’s not, because it’s Klaatu. After that comes the song “Madman” which is a lot better than the first track, it starts off a bit slow, but then it goes into some trippy beats, and it’s pretty cool. Hope is a rock opera often dominated by complex orchestral sequences and arrangements.

Hope, sorti en septembre 1977, est le deuxième album du groupe de rock progressif canadien Klaatu. L'album débute avec la chanson "We're Off You Know" qui une piste tout à fait appropriée pour ouvrir l'album, et qui est un peu comme une chanson des Beatles, mais non, c'est Klaatu. Vient ensuite la chanson "Madman" qui est bien meilleure que la première, elle commence un peu lentement, mais ensuite passe dans des beats trippy, et c'est plutôt cool. Hope est un opéra rock souvent dominé par des séquences et des arrangements orchestraux complexes.

Quatermass is an album by British progressive rock band, Quatermass, first released in May 1970. It has been described as "a keyboard dominated chunk of heavy progressive rock". Based around organ, bass and drums, Quatermass is regarded as a quintessential British prog rock album, destined to remain a cult classic and also one of the first albums in the vein of progressive metal.

Quatermass est un album du groupe de rock progressif britannique Quatermass, sorti en mai 1970. Il a été décrit comme "un morceau de rock progressif lourd dominé par le clavier" bien qu'il comprenne orgue, basse et batterie. Quatermass est considéré comme l'album rock prog britannique par excellence, destiné à rester un classique culte et aussi l'un des premiers albums dans la veine du métal progressif.

Hard Stuff - Bulletproof (1972)

Bulletproof is the first album by the 1970s British rock band Hard Stuff. It was released on Purple Records, the Deep Purple-related record label. It also featured vocalist Harry Shaw, formerly of Curiosity Shoppe , but he had left the band by the time of its release and was uncredited. The record sleeve was re-designed to remove Shaw's image (originally shown on the bottom right hand side).

Bulletproof est le premier album du groupe de rock britannique des années 1970 Hard Stuff. Il a été publié sur Purple Records, le label de disque de Deep Purple. Il comprenait notamment  le chanteur Harry Shaw, anciennement de Curiosity Shoppe, mais celui-ci avait quitté le groupe au moment de sa sortie et n'a ainsi pas été crédité. La pochette du disque a d'ailleurs été modifiée pour enlever l'image de Shaw (à l'origine montrée en bas à droite).

Ram Jam - Ram Jam (1977)

Ram Jam is the debut studio album by American rock band Ram Jam in 1977. The first track on the album, the single "Black Betty", is Ram Jam's best known song. This song was originally made popular in the 30’s being sung by convicts in State prison farms. Leadbelly recorded his version in 1939 and was credited from there on and out as the songwriter. Many have debated what or who Black Betty was. When sung by Ram Jam, it could’ve been anything from a prostitute to heroin.

Cette chanson a été à l'origine rendue populaire dans les années 30 étant chantée par des détenus dans les prisons agricoles de l'Etat. Leadbelly a enregistré sa version en 1939 et a été crédité à partir de là en tant que compositeur. Beaucoup ont débattu de ce que Black Betty pouvait bien être. Quand elle a été chantée par Ram Jam, ça aurait pu être n'importe quoi : d'une prostituée jusqu'à l'héroïne.
