Badger - One Live (1973)

Badger were a British rock band from the early 1970s. They were co-founded by keyboardist Tony Kaye after he left Yes, with bassist and vocalist David Foster. Foster had been in the Warriors with Jon Anderson before Anderson co-founded Yes. Badger's first release was the live album, One Live Badger, co-produced by Jon Anderson and Geoffrey Haslam, and was taken from a show opening for Yes at London's Rainbow Theatre. In the progressive rock genre, five of the songs were co-written by the whole band, with a sixth by Parrish (initially written for Parrish & Gurvitz). The cover art was done by Roger Dean, the artist responsible for many of Yes's album covers, although Kaye left Yes before their partnership with Roger Dean.

Kingfish - Live 'N' Kicking (1977)

Live 'N' Kickin' is the second album by the rock group Kingfish. It was recorded live at the Roxy in West Hollywood, California.Though guitarist Bob Weir played with the band during the performance, he had returned to playing full time with the Grateful Dead by the time the album was produced. With the goal of forging a separate identity for Kingfish, tracks containing Weir's playing and singing were therefore removed from the mix.

Live 'N' Kickin 'est le deuxième album du groupe de rock Kingfish. Il a été enregistré en direct au Roxy à West Hollywood, en Californie. Bien que le guitariste Bob Weir ait joué avec le groupe pendant la performance, il était revenu à jouer à plein temps avec le Grateful Dead au moment où l'album a été produit. Spirit - Twelve Dreams Of Dr. Sardonicus (1970)

Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus is the fourth album by the American psychedelic rock group Spirit. It was produced by David Briggs, who is best known for his work with Neil Young. Although Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus has the reputation of being Spirit's most far-out album, it actually contains the most disciplined songwriting and playing of the original lineup, cutting back on some of the drifting and offering some of their more melodic tunes.

Taj Mahal - Taj Mahal (1968)

Without making the effect of the arrival of a dog in a game of bowling, this first album of Taj Mahal landed in the world of blues of the late 60s already jostling some conventions of the genre. The singer-guitarist-harmonicist is then 26 years old, and his manner of singing already owes more to Wilson Pickett than to Albert Collins. Taj Mahal does not deprive himself, however, from this original recording, and loot the classic repertoire with borrowing Robert Johnson ("Dust My Broom") Willie Mc Tell ("Statesboro Blues") or Sleepy John Estes (" Leaving Trunk "and also the very jolly" Everybody's Got Sometime Change "). Mahal appears as an innovator in his way to access the blues, to boost it from the inside, giving it including an impeccable instrumental performance. Including that of Ry Cooder who is not the least of the actors, he who shares the guitars with Jessie Ed Davis, Taj Mahal taking charge of the slide. It is thus a formation of the most determined and the most complete - with a formidable rhythmic section - which signs there one of the essential links of the young blues scene being born then. - José Ruiz.

James Gang - Thirds (1971)

If you like Joe Walsh, then you'll love this record, his final studio album with James Gang. The band were never the same again, despite the injection of great guitarists such as Tommy Bolin and Domenic Troiano. Walsh, of course, has made a handful of great solo records as well as three Eagles records. He clearly came out the winner in the split with The Gang.

Spooky Tooth - The Last Puff (1970)

After the departure of his principal composer Gary Wright, the three founding members of Spooky Tooth, the singer Mike Harrison, the drummer Mike Kellie and the guitarist Luther Grosvenor, recruit the guitarist and the bassist of the Grease Band of Joe Cocker: Henry McCullough and Alan Spenner. The new band finds the time to record an ultimate album because the band decided to split later, entitled The Last Puff. Spooky Tooth opens his album with an absolutely extraordinary flamboyant version of I Am The Walrus; so much so that some amateurs prefer it to the original Beatles.
