Sorti en avril 1970, Burrito Deluxe est le deuxième album studio de The Flying Burrito Brothers, formation pionnière du country rock américain menée par Gram Parsons et Chris Hillman. Bien que moins salué que leur premier opus The Gilded Palace of Sin, cet album conserve la fusion unique de rock, country et soul qui a fait leur renommée. Il inclut notamment une reprise de Wild Horses des Rolling Stones, que Parsons avait obtenue directement de ses amis Mick Jagger et Keith Richards avant même la sortie officielle par les Stones. L’album, plus accessible mais parfois jugé moins abouti, reste une pierre angulaire de l’histoire du country rock.

Released in April 1970, Burrito Deluxe is the second studio album by The Flying Burrito Brothers, pioneers of American country rock led by Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman. While it received less acclaim than their debut The Gilded Palace of Sin, the album retains the band’s signature fusion of rock, country, and soul. It notably features a cover of the Rolling Stones’ Wild Horses, which Parsons had secured directly from friends Mick Jagger and Keith Richards before the Stones’ own release. More accessible but sometimes considered less polished, it remains a cornerstone in the history of country rock.
