Formed in 1977, The Boyzz were a raucous biker bar band from Chicago, Illinois, known for their Southern Rock-infused sound despite their Midwestern roots. Fronted by the gravel-voiced Dirty Dan Buck, the original lineup featured guitarists Mike Tafoya and Gil Pini, bassist David Angel, keyboardist Anatole Halinkovich, and drummer Kent Cooper. Their lone studio album, Too Wild to Tame (1978), was a loud, gritty, and horn-laced blend of hard rock and boogie. Though they disbanded soon after, the record endures as a cult classic among fans of 70s blue-collar rock.
