Hailing from San Diego, California, Brain Police was a late-'60s underground psychedelic rock band led by brothers Norman and Rick Lombardo. Their 1968 album was recorded independently but shelved due to a lack of label interest. It remained unreleased until the late 1990s, when it was rescued from obscurity by vintage rock enthusiasts. The music features heavy fuzz guitar, swirling organs, and harmony vocals typical of West Coast psych rock, blending garage rawness with experimental ambition. Brain Police captures a lost moment of the psychedelic era—a hidden gem that almost disappeared forever.
