Formé au début des années 70, Brass Monkey est un groupe britannique méconnu dont l’unique album autoproduit sort sous le label Rare Earth en 1971. Ce disque, à mi-chemin du rock psychédélique et du classic rock, est doté d’un son brut et accrocheur : guitares fuzz, rythmiques solides et compositions mélodiques. Inspiré par Creedence Clearwater Revival et Rod Stewart, l’album contient des reprises efficaces (You Keep Me Hangin’ On) et des titres originaux notables comme Goodbye Birds et Strange Days.

Blending psychedelic rock with classic rock hallmarks, the album features fuzz-driven guitars, tight grooves, and catchy songwriting. With a CCR/Rod Stewart vibe, the record includes a spirited cover of You Keep Me Hangin’ On and standout originals like Goodbye Birds and the instrumental Strange Days .
