The Yankee Dollar was a California-based psychedelic rock band active around 1967–1968, releasing a single self-titled LP in 1968. Their music combines male-female harmonies with gentle psychedelic touches and a folk-rock sensibility reminiscent of Jefferson Airplane, The Mamas & the Papas, or We Five. The standout track If In Swimming showcases their melodic charm and dreamy West Coast vibes. Though largely overlooked at the time, the album has since become a cult favorite among fans of sunshine pop and mellow psych rock.
