Originaire de l’Indiana, Goliath est un groupe américain obscur de hard rock progressif formé au tout début des années 70. Leur unique album Hot Rock & Thunder, enregistré en 1972 mais resté longtemps inédit, mêle un rock musclé teinté de soul, de jazz et de touches progressives. Le chant puissant, les cuivres percutants et les claviers Hammond signent une fusion audacieuse et énergique, très représentative de cette époque d'expérimentations sonores. L'album est devenu culte auprès des collectionneurs grâce à son authenticité brute et son groove contagieux.

Goliath was a short-lived rock band from Indiana, USA. Their sole LP Hot Rock & Thunder, recorded in 1972, delivers a vibrant mix of hard rock, progressive textures, and funky brass arrangements. Led by powerful vocals and a tight rhythm section, Goliath fused jazz-rock influences with gritty soul elements. Though largely unnoticed at the time, the album has since gained cult status among 70s rock collectors for its bold sound and dynamic instrumentation.
