Formerly Fat Harry - Formerly Fat Harry (1971)

Formed in 1969 in Croydon by three ex-Berkeley musicians, Gary Peterson, Phil Greenberg and Bruce Barthol who had not long left Country Joe & the Fish, Formerly Fat Harry were signed to the legendary Peter Jenner and Andrew King’s Blackhill Enterprises and became a mainstay of the festivals and underground club circuit. The band mined a rich blues, folk and country vein and heavily infused it with a psychedelic edge.

Formé en 1969 à Croydon par trois ex-Berkeley, Gary Peterson, Phil Greenberg et Bruce Barthol qui avaient quitté Country Joe & the Fish, anciennement Fat Harry ont été signés chez les légendaires Peter Jenner et Black King Enterprises et sont devenus un pilier des festivals et circuit de club souterrain. Le groupe a extrait un riche son de blues, de folk et de country et l'a lourdement imprégné d'un côté psychédélique.
