The Rationals were an American rock band from Ann Arbor, Michigan. Right from the start, they were more mature than the average teenage garage band. By the time Holland had got them wholly into R&B, the quartet was unbeatable, and had they had a more prolific writing team, the Rats could have easily become the American equivalent of the Small Faces or Winwood-era Spencer Davis Group.

Au moment où Holland les avait complètement intégrés au R & B, le quatuor était imbattable, et s'ils avaient eu une équipe d'écriture plus prolifique, les Rats auraient facilement pu devenir l'équivalent américain du Small Faces ou du groupe Spencer Davis de Linwood.
