Jerry Byron Corbitt, né le 7 janvier 1943 à Tifton en Géorgie, est surtout connu comme cofondateur du groupe The Youngbloods, célèbre pour leur hymne pacifiste "Get Together" (1967). Après avoir quitté le groupe en 1969, Corbitt entame une carrière solo marquée par un mélange raffiné de folk, country-rock et blue-eyed soul. Son premier album Jerry Corbitt (1970), sorti sur MCA/Decca, est une perle méconnue du rock des années 70, où se mêlent douceur orchestrée, soul et mélodies introspectives. Bien que l'album soit acclamé par la critique, il reste relativement discret sur le plan commercial.

Jerry Byron Corbitt, born January 7, 1943, in Tifton, Georgia, is best known as a co-founder of The Youngbloods, famous for their peace anthem "Get Together" (1967). After leaving the group in 1969, Corbitt began a solo career marked by a refined blend of folk, country-rock, and blue-eyed soul. His debut album Jerry Corbitt (1970), released on MCA/Decca, remains an overlooked gem of the 70s rock scene, combining orchestral softness, soul, and introspective melodies. Although critically acclaimed, the album did not achieve significant commercial success.
