Sherman Hayes est un chanteur, compositeur et bassiste américain, actif dans les années 70, issu de la scène soft rock californienne. Avant de se lancer en solo, il œuvre dans l’ombre comme musicien de studio et auteur-compositeur, notamment pour Carole King. Son style doux, romantique et mélodique l’inscrit dans la lignée de James Taylor, Jim Croce ou Dan Fogelberg. Sherman Hayes is an American singer, songwriter, and bassist who emerged from the California soft rock scene of the early '70s. Before launching his solo career, he worked behind the scenes as a studio musician and songwriter, including a brief collaboration with Carole King. His only solo album, Vagabond’s Roost (1973), showcases a melodic and introspective West Coast sound, comparable to James Taylor, Dan Fogelberg, and The Carpenters. Though commercially overlooked at the time, the album has become a collector's gem among fans of mellow '70s singer-songwriter classics.
