Leur unique album studio, Eve, sorti en 1971, est un condensé de rock psychédélique lourd, mêlant blues, improvisations fuzz et une énergie brute. Malgré un accueil commercial mitigé à sa sortie, l'album est aujourd'hui considéré comme un joyau du rock underground japonais.

Formed in Tokyo in 1970, Speed, Glue & Shinki was a Japanese power trio emblematic of psychedelic rock. The band consisted of virtuoso guitarist Shinki Chen, dubbed the "Japanese Jimi Hendrix," bassist Masayoshi "Glue" Kabe, and Filipino drummer-singer Joey "Speed" Smith. Their name reflects Smith's (amphetamines) and Kabe's (glue) drug habits.

Their sole studio album, Eve, released in 1971, is a blend of heavy psychedelic rock, combining blues, fuzz improvisations, and raw energy. Although it received a lukewarm commercial reception upon release, the album is now considered a gem of Japanese underground rock.
