Fever Tree est un groupe américain originaire de Houston, Texas, formé en 1966. Initialement appelé The Bostwick Vines, il change de nom et s'oriente vers un rock psychédélique teinté de pop baroque et de folk. Leur premier album éponyme, Fever Tree, sorti en 1968, est surtout connu pour le single « San Francisco Girls (Return of the Native) », un titre devenu un classique du psychédélique des années 60.

Ce disque mélange compositions originales signées par le couple Scott et Vivian Holtzman, producteurs du groupe, et reprises remarquables comme un medley des Beatles « Day Tripper/We Can Work It Out ». Le son du groupe est marqué par des guitares fuzz, des claviers atmosphériques et une ambiance à la fois planante et mélodique. Malgré un succès modeste, Fever Tree reste une référence importante du rock psychédélique texan.

Après la sortie de deux autres albums en 1969 et 1970, le groupe se sépare. Une reformation a eu lieu en 1978, mais sans grand retentissement.

Fever Tree is an American band from Houston, Texas, formed in 1966. Originally named The Bostwick Vines, they changed their name and moved towards psychedelic rock blended with baroque pop and folk influences. Their self-titled debut album, Fever Tree, released in 1968, is best known for the single "San Francisco Girls (Return of the Native)," which became a psychedelic classic of the 1960s.

The album combines original compositions by producers Scott and Vivian Holtzman with notable covers such as a Beatles medley of "Day Tripper/We Can Work It Out." The band's sound features fuzz guitars, atmospheric keyboards, and a dreamy yet melodic vibe. Although only moderately successful, Fever Tree remains an important reference in Texas psychedelic rock.

After releasing two more albums in 1969 and 1970, the band disbanded. They briefly reformed in 1978 without much impact.
