Originaire de Tulsa, Oklahoma, The Stoned Circus fut un groupe psychédélique actif à la fin des années 1960. Enregistré en 1969 mais longtemps resté inédit, leur album Revisited mêle rock psyché, soul blanche et garage, dans un style rappelant Iron Butterfly ou les Vanilla Fudge. Malgré une signature avec Uni Records, l'album fut bloqué à la dernière minute pour des raisons commerciales, et ne sortit qu’en 2004 grâce au label Gear Fab. Leur musique, servie par une section rythmique solide et un chanteur à la voix puissante, a depuis acquis un statut culte chez les collectionneurs de raretés sixties américaines.

Hailing from Tulsa, Oklahoma, The Stoned Circus was a short-lived psychedelic rock band active in the late 1960s. Their only album, Revisited, recorded in 1969 for Uni Records, remained shelved until its release in 2004 by Gear Fab. The band’s style blends heavy psychedelic rock with blue-eyed soul and garage elements, reminiscent of Iron Butterfly or Vanilla Fudge. With a powerful lead vocalist and tight arrangements, their sound found retrospective acclaim among collectors and fans of obscure American psych rock.
