Formé en 1968 par Richie Furay, Jim Messina, Rusty Young, George Grantham et Randy Meisner, Poco est l'un des pionniers du country rock. Le groupe émerge des cendres de Buffalo Springfield et des Souther-Hillman-Furay Band.Leur premier album, Poco, est publié en 1970 sur le label Epic. Il combine des éléments de rock, de country et de folk, avec des harmonies vocales distinctives et une instrumentation caractéristique du genre.

Formed in 1968 by Richie Furay, Jim Messina, Rusty Young, George Grantham, and Randy Meisner, Poco is one of the pioneers of country rock. The band emerged from the ashes of Buffalo Springfield and the Souther-Hillman-Furay Band.Their debut album, Poco, was released in 1970 on the Epic label. It blends elements of rock, country, and folk, featuring distinctive vocal harmonies and instrumentation characteristic of the genre.
