Waves est le premier album éponyme du groupe néo-zélandais Waves, sorti en octobre 1975 sur le label indépendant Direction Records. Enregistré en cinq jours aux studios Stebbing à Auckland, l'album a été produit par Peter Dawkins et a atteint la 7e place des charts néo-zélandais. Le groupe, composé de Graeme Gash, David Marshall, Kevin Wildman et Michael Matthew, propose un folk rock acoustique aux harmonies vocales soignées, influencé par des artistes comme Crosby, Stills & Nash. L'album est devenu un objet de collection prisé et a été réédité en 2013 avec un disque bonus intitulé Misfit, un album inédit enregistré en 1976.

Waves is the self-titled debut album by New Zealand folk-rock band Waves, released in October 1975 on the independent label Direction Records. Recorded over five days at Stebbing Studios in Auckland and produced by Peter Dawkins, the album reached No. 7 on the New Zealand charts. The band—Graeme Gash, David Marshall, Kevin Wildman, and Michael Matthew—delivers acoustic folk rock with intricate vocal harmonies, reminiscent of artists like Crosby, Stills & Nash. The album became a sought-after collector's item and was reissued in 2013 with a bonus disc titled Misfit, an unreleased album recorded in 1976.
