Formé à la fin des années 1960, Steel était un groupe de hard rock américain qui a sorti son unique album éponyme en 1971 sur le label Epic. Composé de musiciens expérimentés issus de divers horizons musicaux, le groupe a fusionné des éléments de blues, de soul et de rock psychédélique pour créer un son distinctif. Malgré des critiques positives, l'album n'a pas rencontré le succès commercial escompté, et le groupe s'est dissous peu après sa sortie.

Formed in the late 1960s, Steel was an American hard rock band that released their sole self-titled album in 1971 on the Epic label. Comprised of seasoned musicians from diverse musical backgrounds, the band blended elements of blues, soul, and psychedelic rock to create a distinctive sound. Despite positive reviews, the album did not achieve the commercial success anticipated, and the band disbanded shortly after its release.
