Saddletramp est un groupe obscur originaire du Midwest américain, probablement du Michigan, dont l’unique album Crazy Lonesome a vu le jour en 1976 sur le label confidentiel Good Sounds. Ce disque autoproduit est devenu au fil du temps un collector convoité dans les cercles de fans de rock sudiste et de country-rock underground. Le groupe évolue dans un registre très roots, à mi-chemin entre boogie électrique et ballades country poignantes. Saddletramp was a short-lived southern rock and country-rock band from the American Midwest, most likely Michigan. Their sole album Crazy Lonesome, released in 1976 on the obscure Good Sounds label, is now a highly prized gem among collectors. Mixing southern boogie, bluesy riffs and heartfelt country ballads, the band delivered a raw and intimate sound. With echoes of Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Outlaws and early Allman Brothers, Saddletramp’s music retains a unique, stripped-down character, making Crazy Lonesome a rare treasure in the realm of American roots rock.
