Stavia est le seul album du groupe américain The Brotherhood, originaire de Hamilton, Ohio, sorti en septembre 1972.Formé par de jeunes musiciens encore lycéens ou récemment diplômés, le groupe comprenait John Hurd (claviers, chant), Jeff Hanson (guitare, chant), Bill Fairbanks (basse, claviers, chant), Donny Hoskins (batterie) et MJ Coe (flûte, guitare acoustique, chant) . Enregistré en autoproduction et pressé à seulement 200 exemplaires par le légendaire studio Rite, l'album est devenu une pièce de collection rare et recherchée .
Musicalement, Stavia est un mélange de rock psychédélique, de soul et de funk, avec des influences de rock progressif.Les compositions abordent des thèmes sociaux et spirituels, reflétant les préoccupations de l'époque, notamment la guerre du Vietnam et le mouvement des droits civiques . Self-produced and pressed in a limited run of 200 copies at the legendary Rite studio, the album has become a rare and sought-after collector's item .
Musically, Stavia blends psychedelic rock, soul, and funk, with elements of progressive rock.
