Five Day Rain est un groupe britannique de rock psychédélique et proto-progressif formé en 1970. Issu du trio Iron Prophet, composé de Rick Sharpe (guitare), Clive Shepherd (basse) et Dick Hawkes (batterie), le groupe s'est enrichi de Graham Maitland (claviers), ancien membre de Scots of St. James, Hopscotch et Fleur De Lys. Leur unique album éponyme a été enregistré en 1970 aux studios IBC de Londres, mais n'a jamais été officiellement publié à l'époque en raison de désaccords avec les producteurs. Seules quelques copies test ont été pressées, rendant l'album extrêmement rare. Ce n'est qu'en 2006 que l'album a été réédité officiellement, offrant enfin au public cette œuvre méconnue du rock britannique des années 70.

Five Day Rain was a British psychedelic and proto-progressive rock band formed in 1970. Originating from the trio Iron Prophet—Rick Sharpe (guitar), Clive Shepherd (bass), and Dick Hawkes (drums)—the group expanded with Graham Maitland (keyboards), formerly of Scots of St. James, Hopscotch, and Fleur De Lys. Their sole self-titled album was recorded in 1970 at IBC Studios in London but was never officially released at the time due to disagreements with producers. Only a few test pressings were made, making the album extremely rare. It wasn't until 2006 that the album saw an official reissue, finally bringing this overlooked gem of 1970s British rock to a wider audience.
