The Desert Rose Band est un groupe américain de country rock formé à Los Angeles en 1985 par Chris Hillman, ancien membre des Byrds et des Flying Burrito Brothers, accompagné d’Herb Pedersen et de John Jorgenson. Leur premier album, éponyme, sort en 1987 sur le label MCA/Curb. Le style du groupe combine des harmonies vocales riches, des influences bluegrass, et un ancrage marqué dans la tradition country. L’album rencontre un succès critique et commercial, porté par des titres comme « One Step Forward » et « He's Back and I'm Blue ».

The Desert Rose Band was formed in Los Angeles in 1985 by Chris Hillman, formerly of the Byrds and the Flying Burrito Brothers, alongside Herb Pedersen and John Jorgenson. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1987 on MCA/Curb Records. The band blended strong vocal harmonies with country and bluegrass influences. The record was both critically and commercially successful, featuring standout tracks such as “One Step Forward” and “He's Back and I'm Blue.”
