🎤 Biographie : Le Stanky Brown Group était un groupe de rock originaire du New Jersey, actif dans les années 1970. Le groupe était composé de :

Ils ont sorti trois albums sous le label Sire Records : Our Pleasure To Serve You (1976), If The Lights Don’t Get You The Helots Will (1977), et Stanky Brown (1978). Leur troisième album, éponyme, enregistré en 1978, présente un rock mélodique typique de la fin des années 70, mêlant guitares nerveuses et claviers chaleureux.

Bien que le groupe n’ait pas atteint une renommée internationale, il a partagé la scène avec des artistes tels que Boston, The Allman Brothers Band, The Outlaws et New Riders of the Purple Sage.

Après la séparation du groupe, le guitariste Bobby Messano a rejoint le groupe Starz (chez Capitol Records) et a poursuivi une carrière prolifique, collaborant notamment avec Lou Gramm, Steve Winwood, Clarence Clemons et Peter Criss. 🇬🇧 Biography (English version): The Stanky Brown Group was a rock band from New Jersey active during the 1970s. They released three albums on Sire Records: Our Pleasure To Serve You (1976), If The Lights Don’t Get You The Helots Will (1977), and Stanky Brown (1978). The self-titled album featured melodic rock with strong guitar lines and warm keyboard textures typical of the late 1970s sound.

Although the group never achieved major international success, they shared stages with notable acts such as Boston, The Allman Brothers Band, The Outlaws, and New Riders of the Purple Sage.

After the breakup, guitarist Bobby Messano joined the band Starz (on Capitol Records) and had a prolific career, playing with Lou Gramm, Steve Winwood, Clarence Clemons, and Peter Criss. In 2009, the band released an album titled Happy Endings, though little is known about its context or the group’s later activities.
