Ro Ro était un groupe britannique éphémère du début des années 1970, formé par le guitariste et chanteur Alan Ross et le bassiste Warwick Rose, dont le nom du groupe est dérivé de leurs noms de famille respectifs. Le groupe comprenait également le claviériste Neil Sheppard, le batteur Rod Coombes et le guitariste et violoniste John Weider, ancien membre des Animals et de Family.
En 1971, Ro Ro a sorti son premier single, "Here I Go Again" / "What You Gonna Do", sous le label Parlophone. L'année suivante, après avoir signé avec Regal Zonophone, ils ont publié le single "Goin' Round My Head" / "Down On The Road". Ces sorties n'ont pas rencontré de succès commercial significatif.
En août 1972, le groupe a sorti son unique album, Meet At The Water, sous le label Regal Zonophone. Ro Ro was a brief-lived British band from the early 1970s, formed by guitarist and singer Alan Ross and bassist Warwick Rose, whose group name is derived from their respective surnames. The band also included keyboardist Neil Sheppard, drummer Rod Coombes, and guitarist and violinist John Weider, who was a former member of The Animals and Family.
In 1971, Ro Ro released their first single, "Here I Go Again" / "What You Gonna Do," under the Parlophone label. The following year, after signing with Regal Zonophone, they released the single "Goin' Round My Head" / "Down On The Road." These releases did not achieve significant commercial success.
In August 1972, the band released their only album, Meet At The Water, under Regal Zonophone. The album presents a fusion of progressive rock and folk, highlighting Alan Ross' guitar work and John Weider's violin playing. Tracks such as "Goin' Round My Head" and "Beautiful Lady" illustrate this musical diversity.
Despite well-crafted compositions and intricate arrangements, the album failed to gain a wide audience, leading to the band's disbandment shortly after its release. Alan Ross went on to pursue his musical career by collaborating with various artists and forming other groups, including Ross and The Alan Ross Band.
