🎤 Carrière musicale :
Orleans (1972-1978) : Fondé en 1972, Orleans a connu un immense succès dans les années 1970 avec des tubes comme "Dance with Me" et "Still the One", coécrits par John Hall. Leur style mêlait soft rock, pop et americana. Toutefois, des désaccords sur l’orientation musicale ont conduit à son départ en 1978.
Carrière solo (1978-présent) : Cette même année, il sort son premier album solo éponyme, John Hall, sous le label Asylum Records. Cet album marque une continuité dans son style tout en affirmant une voix artistique plus personnelle. Il poursuivra avec l’album Power en 1979, connu pour la chanson militante du même nom, devenue un hymne pour la lutte contre l’énergie nucléaire.
