Chris Braun Band est une formation allemande fondée au début des années 1970 par la chanteuse Chris Braun, reconnaissable à sa voix expressive et légèrement rauque. Dès ses débuts, le groupe s’est distingué par une approche éclectique, mêlant rock psychédélique, blues, folk, et des éléments de rock progressif.

Chris Braun Band was a German rock group formed in the early 1970s by vocalist Chris Braun, whose expressive and slightly husky voice quickly became the band’s signature. The band embraced an eclectic sound that drew from psychedelic rock, blues, folk, and progressive rock.
Their self-titled debut in 1971 introduced a dynamic blend of melodic structures and raw energy. In 1973, they released Both Sides, an album that marked a clear evolution in their sound, featuring more complex arrangements and a broader stylistic range.
Both Sides showcases a blend of driving guitar riffs, atmospheric keyboards, and a tight rhythm section, all centered around Braun’s commanding vocals. The album successfully marries soulful folk-blues sensibilities with the sophistication of progressive rock.
