Devil’s Kitchen était un groupe de rock psychédélique originaire de Carbondale, Illinois. Formé en 1967 sous le nom de OM, le groupe a déménagé à San Francisco en 1968 et a changé son nom en Devil’s Kitchen, inspiré par un lac près de leur ville d'origine. Ils sont devenus le groupe résident du Family Dog Ballroom sur le Great Highway, partageant la scène avec des groupes emblématiques tels que Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, Santana et Big Brother and the Holding Company. Le groupe a enregistré plusieurs morceaux en 1969, mais n'a jamais publié d'album officiel de son vivant. Ce n'est qu'en 2011 que ces enregistrements ont été publiés sous le titre Devil's Kitchen, offrant ainsi aux fans un aperçu de leur son unique mêlant blues, rock psychédélique et improvisation.

Devil’s Kitchen was a psychedelic rock band from Carbondale, Illinois. Formed in 1967 under the name OM, the band relocated to San Francisco in 1968 and changed their name to Devil’s Kitchen, inspired by a lake near their hometown.They became the house band at the Family Dog Ballroom on the Great Highway, sharing the stage with iconic bands such as Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, Santana, and Big Brother and the Holding Company. The band recorded several tracks in 1969 but never released an official album during their lifetime. It wasn't until 2011 that these recordings were released under the title Devil's Kitchen, providing fans with a glimpse into their unique sound blending blues, psychedelic rock, and improvisation.
