Beaverteeth est un groupe de rock sudiste américain formé en 1972 à Dothan, Alabama, par les frères John Rainey et David Adkins, accompagnés du bassiste Jimmy Dean et du saxophoniste Jay Scott. Le groupe a d'abord servi de groupe de soutien pour B.J. Thomas, avant de se produire en tant que groupe principal. Ils ont fait une apparition remarquée dans l'émission Midnight Special, animée par Wolfman Jack, où ils ont interprété le tube de B.J. Beaverteeth is an American Southern rock band formed in 1972 in Dothan, Alabama, by brothers John Rainey and David Adkins, along with bassist Jimmy Dean and saxophonist Jay Scott. The band initially served as a backing group for B.J. Thomas before performing as a headlining act. They made a notable appearance on the Midnight Special show hosted by Wolfman Jack, where they performed B.J. Thomas's hit "Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song".

In 1977, Beaverteeth signed with RCA Victor and released their self-titled debut album, Beaverteeth. The album features a blend of Southern rock, pop, and blues, with strong vocal harmonies and well-crafted compositions. The band is led by lead vocalist and guitarist Rodney Justo, former member of Atlanta Rhythm Section, and includes guitarists David Adkins and John Rainey Adkins, bassist Jeff Cheshire, and drummer Larry Hunter.
