Bruce Hibbard is an American singer-songwriter, recognized for his contribution to contemporary Christian musicin the 1970s. In the early part of the decade, he toured with artists such as The Amplified Version, The Paul Clark Band, and Phil Keaggy. In the mid-1970s, he decided to embark on a solo career.

In 1977, he released his debut album, A Light Within, under the Seed Records label. This album reflects his musical style, blending Christian rock with West Coast AOR influences. Bruce Hibbard is credited as the primary composer, as well as an instrumentalist playing keyboards, piano, guitar, bass, and providing vocals.
