The Quinaimes Band était un groupe américain formé au début des années 1970 et basé principalement à New York. Le groupe comprenait Dave Palmer au chant (futur membre de Steely Dan), Danny Mansolino aux claviers, orgue, piano et chœurs, Kenny Pine à la guitare et aux chœurs, Mike Rosa à la batterie, et Jerry Burnham à la basse, violon et chœurs.
En 1971, le groupe sort son unique album éponyme sur le prestigieux label Elektra Records. The Quinaimes Band offre une subtile fusion de rock, folk et country rock, influencée par des formations telles que The Byrds ou Steppenwolf, avec des arrangements sophistiqués et une forte sensibilité mélodique. Enregistré aux célèbres studios Electric Lady et Record Plant de New York, l’album reflète une période de transition musicale où la scène folk-rock américaine se diversifiait vers des sonorités plus électriques et riches. The Quinaimes Band was an American group formed in the early 1970s and mainly active in New York. The band featured vocalist Dave Palmer (later of Steely Dan), keyboardist Danny Mansolino (organ, piano, backing vocals), guitarist Kenny Pine (backing vocals), drummer Mike Rosa, and bassist/violinist Jerry Burnham (backing vocals).
In 1971, they released their self-titled debut and only album on Elektra Records. The Quinaimes Band blends rock, folk, and country rock with strong melodic sensibilities and sophisticated arrangements. The music reflects the influence of groups like The Byrds and Steppenwolf, embodying the transitional sound of early ’70s Americana. The album was recorded at both Electric Lady Studios and the Record Plant in New York. Although it received limited attention at the time, it has since become a cult favorite among fans of early '70s folk rock.
