Formé à New York à la fin des années 60, The Wind in the Willows est un groupe psychédélique folk-pop surtout connu pour avoir compté dans ses rangs une très jeune Debbie Harry, future icône punk et chanteuse de Blondie. Leur unique album, sorti en 1968 chez Capitol, propose une musique douce et rêveuse, aux arrangements baroques et aux harmonies vocales typiques de l'époque. Empreint d’innocence, d’étrangeté et de délicatesse, l’album navigue entre psychédélisme pastoral et pop orchestrale. Bien que passé inaperçu à sa sortie, il est aujourd’hui un témoignage charmant de la scène underground new-yorkaise de la fin des sixties.

The Wind in the Willows was a New York-based psychedelic folk-pop band best remembered for featuring a young Debbie Harry before her Blondie fame. Their sole, self-titled album was released in 1968 by Capitol Records. A gentle blend of whimsical psychedelia and baroque pop, the record weaves together soft harmonies, pastoral instrumentation, and a dreamy atmosphere. Though commercially unsuccessful, The Wind in the Willows has since gained cult status as a quirky and delicate artifact of late '60s psych-folk.
