Originaire du Michigan, The Frost est l’un des groupes emblématiques de la scène rock de Détroit à la fin des années 1960. Mené par le charismatique guitariste et chanteur Dick Wagner (futur collaborateur d’Alice Cooper et Lou Reed), le groupe combine puissance rock, solos inspirés et refrains accrocheurs. Leur deuxième album, Rock and Roll Music, paru en 1969, est un condensé d'énergie garage psyché, où le groupe affirme son style rugueux et sans compromis, dans la veine des MC5 ou de The Amboy Dukes. Malgré une reconnaissance restée régionale, l’album a acquis au fil du temps un statut culte.

Hailing from Michigan, The Frost was a cornerstone of the Detroit rock scene in the late '60s. Fronted by the fiery guitarist and vocalist Dick Wagner—who later worked with Alice Cooper and Lou Reed—the band delivered a hard-edged, garage-influenced psychedelic sound. Rock and Roll Music (1969), their second album, fuses raw energy, searing guitar work, and punchy songwriting. Though their fame remained largely regional, this record is now considered a cult classic of Midwestern psych rock.
